Volunteer Positions

Coordinator

  • Be at event at least 45 minutes in advance.

  • Be in All in Need event location for monthly meetings.

  • If there are no administrative volunteers, complete the check-in and check-out processes

  • Assist parents with drop-off.

  • Oversee Group Leaders.

    • Make sure they don’t have any questions or concerns.

    • If Group Leaders have concerns about children at an event, they will come to you for guidance.

    • Make sure Jr. Leaders know what materials they need to be preparing next.

    • Make sure all volunteers are focusing on their assigned children. (Not carrying on conversations with one another.)

  • Be available to hear parents’ concerns or staff’s concerns.

  • Report to All In Need Director.

  • Oversee clean-up after Respite Night.

    • Make sure all materials are put away. Make sure you clean up the Safety Zone.

    • Wipe down tables.

    • Vacuum.

    • Take out garbage.

Group Leader

  • Oversee five children within a group.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty if you have concerns or questions.

  • Most of all – have fun!

1:1

  • Work one-on-one with a child.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty with any concerns or questions.

  • Have fun!

Group Leader for Typical Child

  • Help set up for activities.

  • Make sure all incoming children have name badges.

  • Oversee typical developing child.

  • Play and interact with children.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty if you have concerns or problems.

  • If injuries happen, contact RN/LPN on staff.

RN / LPN

  • Review all medical history of each child that will be attending that night.

  • Make sure you are at the table greeting parents when they come in. Ask questions about medication as necessary.

  • Be prepared to answer questions from parents.

  • Distribute medication.

  • Oversee any medical emergencies.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty if you have questions or concerns.

Administrative

  • Assist clean up crew.

  • Review group leader assessments.

  • Check in all children.

  • Assist sibling care babysitter for the evening.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty if you have concerns.

  • Guard doors to make sure children are not going in and out.

Clean Up Crew

  • Meet with coordinator for monthly meetings.

  • Put sign up at the driveway before each event.

  • Find out if there is any additional set up that needs to be completed before event starts.

  • Review nightly schedule to find out what/when activities need to be put away.

  • Wipe down tables.

  • Take out garbage.

  • Vacuum

  • Report to Coordinator on duty.

  • Guard doors to make sure children are not going in and out.

Sound Tech

  • Meet with coordinator to find out the theme for the night and what materials will be needed.

  • Have selected music playing during intake/activity time.

  • Have music programmed and ready to be played at worship time.

  • Report to Coordinator on duty.

  • Assist group leaders/clean up crew when needed.

  • Clean up music/videos and make sure they are given back to coordinator on duty.

Craft Leader

  • Meet with coordinator to find out theme for the night and what materials will be needed.

  • Lead craft activities during activity time.

  • After activity, clean up and put away all materials.

  • If group is doing stations, stay with largest part of group to make sure doors are guarded.

  • Assist Clean-up crew/Coordinator with clean up in other areas.
