The Martinez News-Gazette, established in 1858, is one of the oldest continuously operating newspapers in the United States, and one of the first newspapers in California. The tri-weekly serves the county seat of Contra Costa in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Outreach, support, community input and membership are all part of the mission of CAC. People who search for information on our district and special education can locate and connect to the CAC online. Our blog also provides a forum for discussion, problem solving, outreach and community input and support. The blog reduces barriers to participation in the CAC by creating online access to the community at the convenience of the user, reducing demands for respite, nursing and childcare. The blog provides the district with data about successes and challenges within the district. District and community events and opportunities are posted and promoted on the blog.
The You Make a Difference Award is presented to persons or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the lives of special education students in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
