7. Will you take all children with special needs? We would like to accommodate all families and the goal is that we will be able to support your families. However, it depends on if AiN can get the right staffing for your child. It is our goal to make sure all children and staff are safe; therefore, AiN makes sure that staff and children are paired up to best support the child. If a child is putting staffing and other children in danger, AiN may not be able to assist families in the respite program.

8. Can we drop off our child any time in the three hour event? No, we allow you to drop off your child  no later than 15 minutes after we open. AiN moves from one activity to another and when we have new children entering an activity, it makes it very difficult for children who have already heard the directions.

9. Can we pick our child up early? Yes, you can pick up your child up any time!

10. Can we stay?  Yes, of course! We want you to feel comfortable with your child’s surroundings and with us.

11. Do you feed the children? No, we ask that you feed your children before attending an AiN event. If your child needs a snack while in care of AiN, please send a snack. No peanut products!

12. Will you give my child their medication?  During our Revive Event we do have a nurse on site. If medication needs to be given she may administer it.

13. Will you make accommodations for my child? Yes, accommodations are made by the application that is submitted to AiN. Please make sure it is clear what your child is capable of doing and AiN will make needed accommodations for all activities.

14. I want my child to get social interaction. Does AiN support this? Yes, AiN does have a social activities through out our nightly program. Children that participate in Revive are also among children their own age range and put in small groups where they will have a chance to interact with one another.

15. What if we are running late and we don’t make it to the assign pick up time? Pick up is no later than the time that was assigned for the event. If you are late to pick up your child, there is a $2 a minute fee to be paid immediately. Please remember, all AiN staff are volunteers, so please make sure you are there to pick up your child on time.

16. How long are the events?  Revive is a three hour programs.

17. Where are our events held? Our events are held at Oak Park Christian Center in the CMC unless announced otherwise.

18. Will using AiN services be used against me? No! AiN knows how hard it is to raise children with special needs and we want to support your family in every way. Whether it means that you take a nap for a few hours, spend some 1 on 1 time with your typical developing child, or you spend time with your partner, we know that every family member is in need. It isn’t just our special angels that have needs.
